June 8th 2008-

Congratulations are in order guys. A large pat on the back and thanks are deserved to Templar and Bo for not quitting on SLDL and showing us that even in the fun leagues Omega is a dominant force. I would also like to thank every member of the SLDL Roster who helped pave our way to a Championship season. This is indeed a special point in time for Omega, you may all remember back in season 12 when we first formed Omega we lost in the finals to Stormtroopers, and in CAL we have always fallen just shy of a championship, so this marks the FIRST of many championships for Omega Gaming. And to top it off, it was in under a year!!! So thank you to all those guys, especially Templar, for your hard work and dedication. Now then lets start a run with this and show SLDL that we are the team to beat for seasons to come.

March 29th 2008-

Congratulatiosn to Team Omega, recently moved from CAL-Open up to CAL-Main. Time will surely tell if this frag-powered team can handle the new and improved competition they will receive in Main Division. Good luck for the rest of the season.

February 21st 2008-

The Invite team has been picked up by Team Warchild for Season 8. The Omega Open team's server has been moved to Clutchkill and is an optimized 100 tick server, the IP can be found in the forums.

100 Tick Servers

For season 8 we will be allowing the use of 100 tick servers on any map without doors. However, if either team wishes to play on a 66 tick server then the match MUST be played on a 66 tick server.

Keep in mind that while 100 tick servers (the good ones, please don't purchase a cheap 100 tick) seem to register shots better they also shorten the timing for everything (ie, guns fire slightly faster and capture points cap slightly faster as well).

I am unsure if this means rails will not be in the rotation or not, but regardless I have updated the tickrate to 100 so the Open server is beasting.

February 6th 2008-

Cal-Main finals ended the season for Omega Main this evening. Slated against the #2 seed Notik on Anzio it was an arduent task to claim gold, but Omega was up to it and played the best they had all season. Unfortunately for us things do not always end like fairy tales and regretfully we dropped to Notik, but not before playing out the closest Final matchs of Season 7. It seemed, initially at the end, after a valiant push to a full cap that Omega had the victory, but the ticks told the tale as Notik inched past to claim the victory 351-346, a 5 tick loss. The match was viewed by over 80 people in SourceTV and was Shoutcasted by raD.Stryker over in Team Radiance's vent server. We thank him and their team for continued support through the playoff run we had, as well as all the teams and organizations that backed us(you know who you are, we thank you). It was a great season and great playoff run for Team Omega being our first season in Cal-Main and only second season in Cal competition. We look forward to some nice rest in the off-season as we prepare for Season 8... wether that be Main or Invite. Thanks to all who played this season, we could not have done it without you.
